1. Our Approach to Intellectual Property
We aim to respect the intellectual-property rights of:
- writers;
- photographers;
- video creators;
- hotels;
- travel businesses;
- booking services;
- tourism organizations;
- publishers;
- brands;
- other rights holders.
We do not intentionally publish material that we know infringes another person’s copyright, trademark, or other legal rights.
If you believe that material available through TopHotelsList.com infringes your rights, please contact us using the procedure described in this Policy.
We will review sufficiently detailed complaints in good faith and take appropriate action where warranted.
2. Original Content on TopHotelsList.com
Unless otherwise stated, original material created for TopHotelsList.com is owned by or licensed to Instant Media Access.
This material may include:
- articles;
- hotel rankings;
- editorial descriptions;
- original comparisons;
- page layouts;
- graphics;
- logos;
- branding;
- original illustrations;
- original photographs;
- compilations and databases.
This material may be protected by copyright, trademark, database, and other intellectual-property laws.
You may link to publicly available pages on TopHotelsList.com.
You may also quote limited portions where legally permitted, provided that the quotation is reasonable, properly attributed, and does not substitute for the original article.
You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, systematically extract, or commercially exploit substantial portions of our content without prior written permission.
Permission requests may be sent to info@tophotelslist.com.
3. Third-Party Material
TopHotelsList.com may refer to, link to, quote, display, or embed material originating from third parties.
Depending on the context, this may include:
- videos;
- photographs;
- maps;
- social-media posts;
- hotel information;
- public ratings;
- company descriptions;
- logos;
- trademarks;
- excerpts;
- other external material.
Third-party material remains the property of its respective owner.
Its appearance on TopHotelsList.com does not transfer ownership to Instant Media Access.
Where appropriate, third-party material may be used under:
- a license;
- permission from the owner;
- an official embedding or linking function;
- a platform’s authorized sharing tools;
- an applicable copyright exception;
- another lawful basis.
4. YouTube Videos
TopHotelsList.com may feature relevant YouTube videos within hotel guides, destination articles, or other editorial content.
We use YouTube videos to provide additional context, visual information, travel inspiration, hotel footage, destination footage, or commentary relevant to an article.
We do not claim ownership of third-party YouTube videos.
Copyright and other rights in a video remain with the video creator, channel owner, producer, publisher, or other applicable rights holder.
5. Official YouTube Embeds and Links Only
When displaying a YouTube video, TopHotelsList.com intends to use only:
- YouTube’s official embedded player;
- embed code or functionality made available by YouTube;
- official YouTube links;
- linking functions supported by the website platform;
- preview information supplied through authorized platform tools.
The video continues to be hosted and delivered through YouTube’s systems.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, we do not:
- download the creator’s video;
- copy the video file to our own server;
- re-upload the video to another channel;
- create an unauthorized duplicate;
- remove the creator’s channel information;
- remove YouTube branding;
- bypass YouTube’s player controls;
- bypass age restrictions;
- bypass geographical restrictions;
- circumvent embedding restrictions;
- suppress advertisements displayed through the official player;
- falsely claim to have produced the video.
Visitors watch the video through the official embedded player or are directed to the relevant YouTube page.
6. Creator Control Over YouTube Embedding
YouTube provides creators with controls concerning whether their videos may be embedded on external websites.
If a creator does not want a video to be displayed through embedded YouTube players on third-party websites generally, the creator should first disable the Allow embedding option for that video through YouTube Studio.
At the time this Policy was last updated, the standard process was generally:
- Sign in to YouTube Studio.
- Select Content.
- Open the relevant video’s details.
- Select Show more.
- Clear or disable Allow embedding.
- Save the change.
When embedding is disabled by the creator or rights holder, the official player should no longer permit the video to play as an ordinary embed on external websites, including TopHotelsList.com.
Certain rights-management accounts may also have additional options for allowing or blocking embedding on particular domains.
Because the creator controls the video through YouTube, disabling embedding is usually the most direct platform-level method of preventing the same video from being embedded across multiple external websites.
This suggestion is not a condition for submitting a legal complaint or contacting us. A creator or rights holder may still request that a particular embed be removed from TopHotelsList.com.
7. Requests Concerning an Embedded YouTube Video
If your concern is simply that you no longer want your video embedded on external websites generally, we recommend first disabling embedding through YouTube.
If you want only the embed on TopHotelsList.com reviewed or removed, contact:
Please provide:
- your full name;
- your email address;
- the name of the channel or rights holder;
- the URL of the TopHotelsList.com page;
- the URL of the relevant YouTube video;
- an explanation of your relationship to the video;
- whether you are requesting removal because of copyright, privacy, accuracy, personal preference, or another reason;
- any information reasonably needed to verify that you are the creator or authorized representative.
We may remove an embedded video voluntarily even where we do not admit that its use was unlawful.
Removing an embed from TopHotelsList.com does not remove the underlying video from YouTube or from other websites.
8. Copyright Complaints About YouTube Videos
If a video available on YouTube contains material that infringes your copyright, the underlying infringement generally concerns the video hosted on YouTube rather than the embedded player itself.
You may therefore also need to use YouTube’s copyright-reporting tools to address the underlying video.
Contacting TopHotelsList.com removes or reviews only our use of the embed. It does not:
- remove the video from YouTube;
- resolve disputes between the uploader and rights holder;
- determine ownership of the underlying video;
- prevent other websites from embedding it;
- replace a complaint submitted to YouTube.
We may remove or disable the embed while a credible copyright complaint is being reviewed.
9. Potential Benefits of External Video Embedding
Creators may benefit when relevant websites embed their publicly available videos through an official player.
Potential benefits may include:
- exposure to viewers who may not already know the creator or channel;
- distribution of the video to a relevant audience;
- additional legitimate viewing opportunities;
- increased awareness of the creator’s work;
- visitors clicking through to the creator’s YouTube page;
- potential channel visits, subscribers, comments, or other engagement;
- inclusion in articles that provide additional context around the video;
- additional opportunities for the video to be discovered through webpages and search services;
- potential advertising revenue for eligible creators when advertisements are served through the embedded YouTube player.
Embedding can place a creator’s video in front of travelers who are actively researching a particular hotel or destination. A relevant embed may therefore introduce the creator to an audience with a direct interest in the subject of the video.
TopHotelsList.com does not receive the creator’s share of advertising revenue generated within the YouTube player.
10. SEO and Search Visibility
Embedding a relevant video within a useful article may create additional pathways through which internet users can discover the video and its subject.
Search engines may identify videos embedded on webpages and may display video-related search features where their systems consider the page and video relevant.
Possible visibility benefits may include:
- the video appearing within a relevant article;
- the article being discovered for searches related to the hotel or destination;
- video thumbnails appearing in eligible search experiences;
- visitors discovering the creator through contextual travel research;
- additional brand or channel awareness.
However, no search or ranking result is guaranteed.
TopHotelsList.com does not claim that an embed will automatically:
- improve a video’s YouTube ranking;
- improve a creator’s Google ranking;
- create a valuable search-engine backlink;
- increase subscribers;
- increase views;
- increase advertising revenue;
- cause a video to appear in Google video results;
- cause an article to rank more highly.
Search engines and video platforms use their own systems, policies, and ranking factors, which may change over time.
The value of an embed generally depends on factors such as relevance, article quality, audience interest, video quality, placement, technical implementation, and platform settings.
Our explanation of potential exposure or discovery benefits should not be interpreted as a promise of SEO performance.
11. Creator Attribution
Where reasonably practical, we aim to preserve or display the attribution supplied through the official video player or the surrounding editorial context.
The official YouTube player may display information such as:
- the video title;
- the channel name;
- a link to the video;
- a link to the channel;
- player branding and controls.
We do not intentionally alter the official player to falsely suggest that TopHotelsList.com created or owns a third-party video.
A video may also be introduced or discussed within the accompanying article.
Contact info@tophotelslist.com if you believe that a creator has been incorrectly identified.
12. Removal, Deletion, and Changes Made on YouTube
A creator or rights holder may change a video’s status or availability through YouTube.
For example, a video may be:
- deleted;
- made private;
- made unavailable;
- geographically restricted;
- age restricted;
- removed following a platform complaint;
- blocked from external embedding.
When this occurs, the official embedded player may stop displaying or playing the video automatically.
TopHotelsList.com may periodically remove unavailable or non-functioning embeds, but we do not guarantee immediate detection of every change made through an external platform.
13. Other Embedded Content
TopHotelsList.com may use official embedding tools provided by other video, map, media, or social platforms.
Where possible, we intend to use the relevant platform’s official player, widget, embed code, or linking system rather than downloading and re-hosting third-party content.
The underlying material remains hosted or controlled by the relevant third party.
Creators and rights holders should first review the privacy, visibility, sharing, and embedding controls available through the original platform.
They may also contact us directly to request review or removal of a particular embed.
14. Photographs and Images
Images appearing on TopHotelsList.com may include:
- original images;
- licensed stock images;
- images supplied with permission;
- public-domain material;
- Creative Commons material;
- promotional images supplied by a property or tourism organization;
- thumbnails or previews generated through an authorized embed or linking service;
- other material used on a lawful basis.
We aim to comply with applicable attribution and license requirements.
If you believe that an image has been used without authorization or with incorrect attribution, submit a notice under this Policy.
15. Brand Names and Trademarks
TopHotelsList.com may mention or display:
- hotel names;
- hotel-chain names;
- booking-service names;
- travel-company names;
- tourism brands;
- product names;
- service names;
- logos;
- trademarks;
- service marks.
We use such names and marks only where reasonably necessary to:
- identify a particular hotel;
- identify a particular company;
- identify a booking or travel service;
- describe a product or service;
- compare or discuss available options;
- direct visitors to a relevant third-party service;
- provide editorial, informational, or descriptive context.
TopHotelsList.com does not claim ownership of third-party brands, logos, trademarks, or service marks.
All such rights remain with their respective owners.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the mention or display of a brand does not imply:
- ownership by Instant Media Access;
- sponsorship of TopHotelsList.com;
- endorsement of TopHotelsList.com;
- approval of an article;
- a partnership;
- official representation;
- authorization to act on the brand’s behalf;
- control of the brand or its services.
Use of a name or mark for identification or editorial reference should not be interpreted as an attempt to pass off TopHotelsList.com as the rights holder or official website.
16. Trademark Complaints
If you believe that use of a trademark on TopHotelsList.com is misleading, infringing, or likely to cause confusion, contact info@tophotelslist.com.
Please include:
- your name and contact information;
- the trademark owner’s name;
- the relevant trademark;
- registration information, where applicable;
- the URL of the TopHotelsList.com page;
- the specific use being challenged;
- an explanation of the alleged infringement or confusion;
- confirmation that you are the owner or authorized representative;
- supporting documentation where reasonably available.
A trademark complaint should distinguish between alleged infringement and ordinary identification, commentary, comparison, criticism, or reference to a third-party service.
17. How to Submit a Copyright Takedown Notice
To request removal of allegedly infringing material, send a written notice to:
Email: info@tophotelslist.com
Postal address:

Your notice should include:

- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
For multiple works appearing on the same page, you may provide a representative list together with sufficient information to identify each disputed item.
18. Incomplete Notices
A complaint that does not identify the disputed content or the relevant rights may be difficult to investigate.
If a notice is incomplete, we may request additional information before acting.
We may be unable to process a request that provides only:
- a name without contact information;
- a general objection to the website;
- a screenshot without a page URL;
- an unsupported claim of ownership;
- a vague reference to “my content”;
- a demand that does not identify the disputed material.
We will not request information beyond what is reasonably necessary to assess the complaint.
19. Our Review Process
After receiving a sufficiently detailed complaint, we may:
- acknowledge receipt;
- review the relevant page;
- temporarily disable or remove material;
- request additional information;
- contact the person or provider associated with the material;
- verify licensing or permission;
- assess whether the material is supplied through an official embed;
- assess whether an exception or other lawful basis may apply;
- restore material if the complaint appears mistaken or unsupported;
- permanently remove or replace the material;
- preserve relevant records where necessary.
The action taken will depend on the circumstances.
Removal does not necessarily constitute an admission of infringement, liability, or wrongdoing.
20. Counter-Notices and Disputed Claims
If material you supplied or own has been removed following a complaint, you may contact us to dispute the removal.
A response should include:
- your name and contact details;
- identification of the removed material;
- the original page location;
- an explanation of why the removal was mistaken;
- details of any license, permission, ownership, or applicable legal basis;
- supporting documentation;
- a statement that the information supplied is accurate;
- your physical or electronic signature.
We may forward relevant portions of the response to the original complainant where legally appropriate.
We do not act as a court and may decline to republish disputed material where ownership cannot reasonably be determined.
The parties may need to resolve complex ownership disputes through the relevant platform, legal advisers, a court, or another competent authority.
21. Privacy and Personal Information in Complaints
A copyright or trademark complaint may contain personal data.
We process this information to:
- investigate the complaint;
- communicate with the parties;
- establish ownership or authorization;
- maintain legal records;
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims;
- comply with applicable law.
We may share relevant information with:
- the person who supplied the disputed material;
- a hosting or platform provider;
- legal advisers;
- insurers;
- authorities;
- other parties where reasonably necessary.
Do not submit sensitive personal data unless it is necessary for the complaint.
Further information is available in our Privacy Policy.
22. False or Misleading Complaints
Do not knowingly submit a false, misleading, fraudulent, or abusive complaint.
Before submitting a notice, consider whether the disputed use may be:
- authorized;
- licensed;
- embedded through an official platform tool;
- used for identification;
- used for commentary or criticism;
- used for comparison;
- covered by an applicable copyright or trademark exception;
- otherwise lawful.
Knowingly making false statements about ownership, authorization, or infringement may result in legal consequences.
We reserve the right to reject abusive complaints and take reasonable steps to protect the website against fraudulent or harassing requests.
23. Repeat or Serious Infringement
TopHotelsList.com does not offer public user uploads or user accounts.
If third-party material is nevertheless found to have been repeatedly or seriously supplied to us in violation of intellectual-property rights, we may:
- stop using material from the relevant source;
- remove existing material;
- restrict future submissions;
- terminate a commercial or content relationship;
- take other appropriate action.
24. No Legal Determination
Our response to a complaint is an administrative and editorial decision concerning material displayed on TopHotelsList.com.
It is not a judicial ruling concerning:
- copyright ownership;
- trademark validity;
- infringement;
- fair use;
- quotation rights;
- damages;
- liability;
- contractual rights.
We may remove disputed material to reduce risk or respect a creator’s preference even where no infringement has been established.
